Termination For Medical Reasons (TFMR)
Ending a wanted pregnancy is truly an isolating and traumatizing experience. Often you are heading in to your 20-week ultrasound full of hope and excitement. You are looking forward to seeing your baby and count their ten perfect little toes and watch their perfect little beating heart. However, sometimes everything is far from perfect. Sometimes you get news of a catastrophic medical diagnosis. Then you are given a choice to make. The doctors provide you with al of the information that they can and then it is up to you and your partner to decide.
This is the decision you never thought you'd have to make. And yet, here you are. The clock is ticking, everything is urgent and you wish you had more time to process the news and consider your next step. But your time is limited. And then you are left to deal with the aftermath.
Women and couples navigating TFMR often feel particularly vulnerable. They wonder if others will judge their decision. They struggle with their own complex feelings about this decision. It is often a lonely path to walk. I am here to walk that path with you. I am here to help you to navigate your grief and loss. I am here to provide a safe, judgement-free space to process and heal. I have walked this path with other women and I am here to support you, as well.
